This heavy duty machine will sew a range of fabrics from silk to canvas and leather. The machine has 32 built in stitches and 50 stitch functions.
You will find it very easy to thread. The top drop in bobbin is also very easy to use. The Singer 5050 features 4 step buttonholes, can do darning, monogramming, and embroidery. The on-board storage compartment can be removed, allowing for free arm sewing.
This machine includes the owner's manual, power cord and foot pedal, darning plate, zipper foot, button hole foot, blind stitch, and special purpose foot. The feet snap on and off, making it easy to switch from one stitch function to another.

The machine also can do free-arm sewing for easy cuff and hem finishes, is controlled electronically via a foot switch for excellent speed control, and is all-around one of the most excellent machines in its price range.
